What is BlockOwls?
BlockOwls as a project is a storybased NFT adventure on the Cardano blockchain. The main goal is to make a playful and vivid fictional world, and various characters with colorful appearance and personalities that we can share with eachother. The blockowls are the first and main characters in this story. It's still unknown where this project will take us as this is just the beginning, but we hope you will join and be a part of this universe. We recommend having a look at the roadmap before investing in a BlockOwls NFT unless you just got to have one.

Why did we choose Cardano?
There are many reasons why we have chosen Cardano.
Not only is Cardano one of the most decentralized blockchains, but through the use of Proof of Stake, it is also considered one of the greenest and most sustainable blockchains in the space.
Cardano is very ambitious, but we believe its goals are realistic because of the thoughtful and methodical way it has approached each and every milestone. The clarity offered in the roadmap along with an extensive peer review process, provide a level of transparency unmatched anywhere else.
In Charles Hoskinson, Cardano also has an extremely innovative and capable leader that knows how to explain complex topics to any audience. He has been a crucial guide to our understanding of where Cardano is, as well as where it’s heading.

BlockOwls can be bought on different marketplaces. We recommend checking out jpg.store as it is the one with the biggest volume at the moment. See Buy for links.

What's the mint price?
The price for the Hydra drop was 42 ADA per NFT.
The price for the Plutus drop was 106 ADA per NFT.
Thr price for the C#1 drop was 125 ADA per NFT.
How many can you mint?
You could mint only 1 (one) BlockOwl per wallet on the Hydra drop. You could mint only 1 (one) BlockOwl per wallet on the Plutus drop. If you were on the Whitelist you could mint 1 - 5 NFTs per wallet depending on how many spots you had. All public mints were limited to 1 NFT per wallet. C#1 was a very limited collection and was therefore whitelist only. WL allocation per individual was based upon the amount of Owls someone holds.
Can I buy a BlockOwl using an exchange wallet?
No! Only send your ADA from a Yoroi/Daedalus/Nami wallet. Do not use any CEX like Kraken, Binance, Huobi etc. You will loose your ADA.
When is the launch?
The Hydra Collection launch date was December 1st 2021, 6PM UTC. The Plutus Collection launch date was on March 11th (WL) and 12th (Public sale). C#1 collection was the 28th of June (whitelist only).

What is the rarity?
Hydra drop: 52 different BlockOwl designs. Plutus drop: 46 different BlockOwl designs. C#1 drop: only 32 unique BlockOwl designs Some BlockOwls are minted in low quantity, and some in larger. BlockOwls with unique display box and characteristics are often the rarest ones. There are seven rarity levels: Common (128), Uncommon (84), Rare (58), Very Rare (36), Epic (21), Legendary (8) and Mythic (1). Explore the NFT rarities here
Future of BlockOwls?
BlockOwls is first and foremost an art based NFT project. However, our ambition is to build something more. We already have a lot of ideas, but it's too early to reveal such plans. As a project, we maintain the ethos of under promising and over delivering. We really hope BlockOwls will continue to attract great developers and other creatives that can bring even more value to the project.
How are BlockOwls created?
They are created with a 3D program called Cinema 4D. All BlockOwls are based on the same base figure. However, the figure itself is heavily rigged to make it flexible and easily modifiable. It is rigged to do all sorts of crazy things! All loose parts are freely moveable around the body, allowing the BlockOwls to morph into a ball, or melt, or stretch like a rubber toy. It also has multiple glitch, shatter and deforming effects built in for visual artifacts.
All BlockOwls are composed of custom design, textures and materials. ALL assets are created from scratch.
